The TCS Amsterdam Marathon, which holds the World Athletics Platinum Label, has had one of the fastest courses in the world for years. In the ranking of the fastest marathon cities, the largest marathon in the Netherlands holds sixth place. Each year, around 50,000 participants take part in the 42 km, 21.1 km, or 7.5 km distances.
