50 years

In 2025 the TCS Amsterdam Marathon will celebrate its 50th anniversary. The very first edition of the marathon took place in 1975. As part of Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary, we are introducing a new distance on Saturday: the TCS 7.5 km.

Highlights of the course are the start and finish in the Olympic Stadium, the passage under the Rijksmuseum, the kilometres long side the Amstel and the round through the Vondelpark.
